7. African Dermatopathology Conference (ADPC) - Online
Welcome to the 7th African Dermatopathology Conference (ADPC), which – caused by the COVID-19-situation worldwide - will be for the first time online only, and not in-person in Africa.
This year there is a particular surprise: we are organizing a “joint-meeting” with the “dermatopathology essentials” course, organized by the Swiss Dermatology Society. This online one-day-course is offered to all ADPC participants.
In the past six years, we have had several successful ADPCs in Moshi, Tanzania, and once in Kigali, Rwanda. In the past editions we welcomed up to 60 participants from >10 African countries and from all continents, 60% dermatologists and 40% pathologists. A lively interactive program resulted in numerous discussions about diagnosis of skin diseases.
The excellent collaboration with the RDTC allowed us to host most of the ADPCs in a beautiful location and perfect timing, combining the ADPC to the annual International Dermatology Conference CME at the RDTC.
2022 will be different: the ADPC will be free accessible online for all registered participants from all over the world. It is a special opportunity to show the situation of dermatopathology in some African countries.
We are looking forward to an extremely stimulating program: there will be lectures on several skin diseases and interesting cases presentations. The conference will bring together as usual several international experts to share professional experiences, knowledge and skills in order to improve patient care.
Since 2016, the “African Dermatopathology Society” (ADPS) is having the yearly meeting during the conference. All participants are welcome to join the society.
We hope that you will join the online conference.
