We would like to invite you to our IBD Symposium with guest speaker Professor Dr. Janneke van der Woude.
Janneke van der Woude is a professor and researcher at the Erasmus University Medical Center (Erasmus MC) in Rotterdam (The Netherlands) which is one of the largest university medical centers in Europe. She is a member of the Dutch Center of Excellence in IBD and the Head of the IBD clinic at Erasmus MC. Professor van der Woude and her team at Erasmus MC focus on the integrated medical therapy of inflammatory bowel diseases with a patient-centered approach including counselling on various problems in reproduction, fertility and pregnancy in IBD patients.
In addition, Janneke van der Woude is a clinician scientist heading various investigator-initiated studies including the Lengthening of Adalimumab Study (LADI). Moreover, she is the chair of the scientific committee of ECCO and is a board member of the edu- cation committee of the European Gastroenterology Federation (UEGF). She has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and acts as reviewer for several scientific journals. Professor van der Woude is the secretary of the Dutch gastroenterology association and is the co-founder of the Initiative on Crohn and Colitis (ICC) which is a collaboration of 8 universities and non-academic IBD outpatient centers.
During her case-based talk, Janneke van der Woude will highlight relevant data on stratification approaches of tailored treatment strategies in IBD. This topic is highly relevant for daily clinical practice.
